[1] The Crossosomatales are an order, newly recognized by the AGP II, of flowering plants, included within the Rosids, which are part of the eudicots. The following three families are placed here: * Family Crossosomataceae The APG III system of 2009 includes more families in this order: * Family Aphloiaceae Under the Cronquist system these were placed in the Rosales, Violales, and Sapindales, respectively. In addition there are four genera, each placed within its own family, that are placed in this order by some researchers (see Matthews et al., below). These are Aphloia, Geissoloma, Ixerba, and Strasburgeria. * Family Aphloiaceae
