Coreopsideae is a tribe of flowering plants belonging to the Asteroideae subfamily.[2]

Classification

This tribe includes genera like Cosmos and Dahlia.[3]

Tribe Coreopsideae came into being when tribe Heliantheae (Cassini, 1819) was split as a consequence of molecular studies. The new tribes were named Bahieae, Chaenactideae, Coreopsideae, Helenieae and, finally, Heliantheae (sensu stricto).[4]
